Healthy Church Relationships
What do healthy church relationships look like? We get a wonderful example of healthy spiritual relationships in Philippians 1:1-8. Here we are encouraged to be thankful for one another, pray for one another, be confident of God’s work in one another, and have a godly affection for one another.
Paul’s Prayer For Growth in Godliness
When Paul prayed for the Philippians what did He ask God to do? Interestingly, he didn’t pray about all the things we usually pray about – safety, protection, healing, prosperity. Instead, he focused exclusively on the spiritual growth of the saints in Philippi – their love, knowledge, discernment, sincerity, blamelessness, and fruit. I think we would be wise to do the same.
A God-Centered Perspective on Suffering, Living and Dying
In this message we seek a God-centered perspective in three areas of life: suffering, living, and dying. If we can see these things from God’s divine perspective, and live the way the apostle Paul did, we can expect God to use in greater ways!
