Encouragement To Suffering Christians
In continuation of Revelation chapter 1 we see John write to suffering Christians encouraging them. John writes a salutation, a doxology, a prophecy and a designation. Join us to learn the answer!
John’s Vision Of The Risen Christ
This Easter Sunday we will go over what John saw, heard, and did when he had a vision of Christ.
Ephesus: The Church That Left Its First Love
The church of Ephesus left its first love. In the message from Jesus to this church, there is a warning for all of us.
Smyrna: The Church Of Impending Martyrdom
Pergamum: The Church That Tolerated False Teachers
In this next installment comes the letter to Pergamum. Let us learn who the author is, who are the recipients, the commendation, the correction, and the promise given to the church of Pergamum.
Thyatira: The Church That Tolerated A False Prophetess
Jesus calls the church of Thyatira to repentance for tolerating a false prophetess who led the people into idolatry and immorality. We must be on our guard not to allow false teaching or sin to creep into our churches today!
Sardis: The Church That Needed To Be Resuscitated
The Lord Jesus calls the church of Sardis to wake up and repent, because they were dead!
Philadelphia: The Open Door Church
The small fledgling Church in Philadelphia was marked by obedience to the word of Christ and faithfulness to bearing testimony to him. Let us follow. It’s a wonderful example!
Laodicea: The Church Of The Unconverted
The church of Laodicea is the story of a church that started out well but ended tragically – it is the church of the unconverted!
A Vision of the Throne Part 1
In this message we begin a series of sermons on the worship in heaven we read of in the book of Revelation. God on the throne is the entrancing focus of all heavenly worship!
A Vision of the Throne Part 2
There is no attribute of God that is repeated thrice other than the word: Holy. God’s holiness is the pinnacle of who He is and the reason why the Christian worships.
Worthy Is The Lamb
In this chapter we see all of heaven worshipping Jesus Christ for shedding His blood and purchasing them for God.
The 4 Horsemen
Jesus Christ is the sovereign Lord of the universe, as seen in Him slitting the 4 seals and releasing the 4 horsemen to do his bidding in the earth.
The Cry of the Martyrs
When Jesus breaks the fifth seal, the martyrs who shed their blood and died for Christ rather than to renounce their faith are revealed. Their cry is, “How long O Lord will you refrain from judging and avenging our blood?” This is just a glimpse into the world of the martyrs – men and women who have willingly died for Christ over the last 2,000 years.
The Wrath Of The Lamb
Following on the heels of the vision of the Christian martyrs, John now receives a vision of the destruction of the heavens and the earth, the terror of the wicked at the Second Coming of Christ. Men will cry to the Mountains and Rocks to fall on them and hide them from the wrath of the Lamb!
The Heavenly Cry of the Redeemed
Those who stand and escape the wrath of God are those who worship Christ. Those who have a mark from God are branded by God. Those who have the mark of the beast belong to Satan. God knows His own and protects them.
The Glory of Heaven
Christians need to be heavenly minded to be able to worship God. A heavenly minded believer will:
1. Wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb.
2. Look forward to heaven.
3. Learn about worship from the angels.
The Prayers Of The Saints
The saints cry to God for justice, and God answers by sending seven angels with seven trumpet judgments. This teaches us that it is right for the saints to pray that God would judge His enemies and advance His kingdom.
The Sounding Of The First Four Trumpets
In response to the believing prayer of the saints God now judges her persecutors and enemies. In this message we seek to find some Old Testament information related to the trumpet judgments. As we do so, the vision and its meaning become clearer.
The Locusts from the Bottomless Pit
In Revelation 9 we are introduced to a vision of a vast horde of locusts that torment unbelievers. This points to a demonic invasion of monumental proportions. In this message we survey the Preterist, Futurist, and Idealist perspectives on this judgment of God.
The Devastating Army From The East
In this passage, Pastor Brian expounds the sixth trumpet, and teaches why he leans toward the idea that this vision symbolizes the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in A.D. 70.
The Little Book
In chapter 10 we see a transition from the main message of Revelation concerning God’s judgment on Israel and Jerusalem, to His work throughout the Church Age. The “little book” appears to be this secondary prophecy, covering chapters 11, 12, and 13, and is marked by three different but equal time designations: 42 months, 1,260 days, and time, times, and half a time.
The Two Witnesses
Revelation 11 depicts the history of the Church during the Church Age as 2 witnesses, the temple of God, two lampstands, and two olive trees. Each symbol sheds new light on the nature and work of the church. The Church is invincible until its work on earth is completed!

John’s vision of the two witnesses that seemed to be invincible, ends with them killed by the beast. However, after 3 1/2 days they are raised from dead and called up to meet the Lord in the air. The meaning is probably that the church will be able to propagate the gospel throughout the world, but when their work is finished, the antichristian world powers will persecute the church and silence it by driving it underground. However, God will have the last say by vindicating the church, raising it from the dead and rapturing it at the second coming of Christ.
