God’s Book

Because God cannot lie, His word is Truth. We at the Bridge are committed to “understanding and obeying God’s Word”. We seek to base everything in our personal and church life on the teaching of God’s Word. Therefore, the teaching of Scripture holds a very high place in our church gatherings. Without the objective Word of God, we would be set adrift in a sea of subjectivity and conflicting personal opinions. The Word of God enables us to plant our feet on the solid ground of Divine truth, enabling us to know what we are to believe, and how we are to live. Ultimately, the traditions of men must give way to the Word of God.  We do not believe the Bible is some kind of a secret code book.  Rather, we are committed to studying this Word in an effort to understand what the original authors meant when they wrote or spoke to their original audiences.
